Joe Rychnovsky is a contributing reporter and sports reporter for FOX Toledo News.
Joe arrived at Four SeaGate and the FOX Toledo News studios in January 2006 after spending nearly seven years working as a sportscaster at WTOL CBS 11 across town.
Joe wears a variety of hats at WUPW, a talent he has crafted over the years. You might see Joe doing one of his fun lighter-side features on Fox Toledo First at Four, anchoring FOX Toledo Hardcore Sports or bringing the viewers intriguing and inspiring stories from Northwest Ohio and Southeastern Michigan athletes and teams.
Joe has more than 16 years experience in television broadcasting and has won several awards throughout his career.
He's perhaps best known for his Joe's Fox Challenges. Joe has done and will do almost anything when it comes to challenges. Joe has flown with the United States Air Force, ridden a bucking bronco, and once even shot a flaming arrow off a horse.
His latest challenges include trying the new Zumba aerobics craze, testing his strength against a teenage bodybuilder, testing his eye-hand coordination with horseshoes, Pac-Man, Gears of War and table hockey, tried his hand at returning books at Owens Community College through a very unique drive-thru, tried to shovel snow and lick kidney disease, and strutted his stuff like a Detroit Auto Show model.
Joe loves meeting people from all over and telling their stories. If you have a story idea or challenge idea, e-mail Joe.
Joe is happily married to the love of his life, a great Toledo girl, and is very lucky to call the Glass City his home.
